Botanical Garden Penang is located at Jalan Kebum Bunga means Flower Garden Road,boasting a great and artistic landscape.This green peace of land is a great spot for a jogging with friends and family.The garden is located approximately 8 km from the Georgetown city.

With  soothing greenery around and with cool fresh air,the garden is popular with people in the mornings and evenings for recreational activities.People come here for aerobics,jogging and other exercises.

For more adventure people will go for forest trekking.

 

In Botanical Garden,visiters will find few shops selling snacks,drinks and small bites to eat.

There are different types of insects and colorful butterflies in the garden to amuse.Variety of colorful flowering plants from a wide diversity of Malaysia flora also attracts attention.

In the garden,visiters will see large roots of Sengkuang tree where rare and special flora can be found.Beside Sengkuang tree,there are fascinating Cannon Ball tree with Cannon Balls hanging from the tree trunks,the Pinang plam tree,the black lily and Candle tree.

Penang Botanic Garden is a good place to gain some knowledge in plants,landscape and to gain the techniques in herbarium.

Penang Botanic Gardens are selected as the host of annual International Flora Festival which takes place in the month of May every year.

In Botancial Garden,  naughty cheeky Leaf monkeys and Black Giant squirrels catches the eyes of the visiters.

 

There are number of fern and cactus species which are rare and special  and can be found here,along with lily ponds which are favorite among tourists.
